The house accord that is build around incense is in this one, the one I mentioned in Hyde. Incense is a smart move for an all natural base it is something a lot of people are actually used to and don’t even realized it. On the other hand a lot of people are turned off by it the same way. But I am not in this to find something that please everyone that would just be flat out boring if that were the case. Somehow I am able to bridge a lot of scents and enjoy them. But it comes at an understanding of the history of the fragrance and it’s effect on society. Seriously incensed is deeply drenched in a lot of tradition. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes To me this opens orange, but not bright like the natural orange aerosols that I am used to. A dark more orange musk opening. It settles really quick and becomes a marmalade sillage like orange that is accentuated by the base rather than being two separate notes. A nice honey smell is mixed in for a bright morning surprise of orange in a new way. The more is sits on skin the more the natural orange comes forth as the base settles into your skin. Weird Neroli is not a note used here. That could be the bit of orange musk I am getting the orange oil and petitgrain mixing. For a second it is a bit floral. A floral citrus is what I would describe as the beginning of the heart. I get two different smells a nice orange from sillage and a lot of acidic incense closer to the skin. Doesn’t bother me. Heart is an incense accord that I am familiar with in Hyde. Without the BBQ dark effect that is in there this is very soft. The orange for me is used to transition back into the dry down as part of a nice citrus musk on the skin. To keep all naturals in this price range incense or a musk based on citrus seems to be commonplace for stronger fragrances.
