How? I Apply the Fragrance

3 - 9

Great sillage and projection off the bat. One, two, three woods hit you during the entire first sniffs. Top wood maybe a cedar, two sandalwood, three even oaky. Fresh cut wood at a lumberyard. Or smelling the clearing of forest. LOL no oak is mentioned, but pine tree is. Buddha wood is mentioned on lucky scent where not on fragrantica. That might be the Oak factor I am picking up. In the heart the pine comes out very nice. How it is hidden on the top is very cool to the composition. Nice simple scent with great care to amounts of each smell. The vetiver adds the right amount of life to the woods. Just a good deep grass to fresh wood. The myrhh is hidden still just the smalles amount of sweet. Will see how it fully dries down. Overall this is well blended and basic. You are getting exactly what is listed which fits with the brand.

  1. I'm wearing La Collection Rive Gauche Pour Homme Yves Saint Laurent. This sounds super cool! I'm really loving Wood fragrances the past couple of weeks. I've been wearing Bentley for Men Absolute a lot lately. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinion about this with us. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks Daniel San. I meant to see your take on the Bvlgari aqua amara. I actually own that one. I haven't worn it, i heard it might be discontinued so I bought one while I could and plan on a summer frag.

    2. @Therapeutic Fragrance I actually didn't care for it. I think I'm the only reviewer that didn't give it a great review. But I was honest though in my feelings and thoughts about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I tried this twice and i think i wasn't blown away. Its nice, but i don't know….maybe not USD 6 nice, seem kinda basic. I like some stuff in the house but i struggle with the prices. I really like Pink Wood though. Have you tried it? Would love to hear your thoughts on Ray of Light. Luca Turin gave it high scores.

    1. I have irresistible also. Was thinking about pink wood maybe next time. Didn't know Luca reviewed April Aromatics, now I am intrigued, I usually get where he is coming from on a composition side of things. Even though we very on ingredients, but I think he is coming around. His lectures on the science of smell on you tube are really fascinating to me.

    1. All my who I see wearing are meant to be light. I really don't keep up on celebrity life and tabloids. I have never even had a personal facebook account. But Funniest home videos was a staple on Sunday night and that's just what comes to mind when associating this fragrance for someone. Obviously I'm up on MJ and BC and sadly won't mention them in the Who I see wearing even though both had big influence on my childhood. Anyways just meaning to be light hearted with this and use characters.

    2. @Therapeutic Fragrance I know, I was just bustin balls a bit, even tho I do hate the guy. Be careful with naming celebs tho…nowadays a lot of them are not looked favorably upon. Best to research these days b4 mentioning. I too did the Sunday night videos gig. I stopped watching as soon as it was clear ppl were staging things. Cheers.

(PS tried cobalt amber today, really liked it. Abel rocks.)

P.p.s. you have some unique approaches in your reviews that others aren't doing, kudos.

    1. I will absolutely put those on my list to try. Anything natural I will make an effort on displaying on the channel. As soon as I am done going through all these compositions. Majority of the channel will be natural based. Might take me a few weeks, but I have them down on the list to review now.

  3. Looks good. Pity their samples are about 12-18โ‚ฌ for 2.5ml from their website though makes it prohibitive to try em out. You tried their Vetiver Coeur as well?

  4. โ€‹@Therapeutic Fragrance Bravanariz is also looks insanely good, they've got a vid from pitti fragrance where the owner explains the deep concepts behind the brand, its all about capturing the essence of an eco system and getting back to nature. all natural.
