How? I Apply the Fragrance

3 to 5 sprays

Berlin Notes Grapefruit, clementine, lemon, schinus molle co2 extract, black pepper, black tea, Haitian vetiver, cedarwood, patchouli Fragrance Quick Story I love the concept of the brand former perfumers who worked for L’artisan. And went to a place near Grase, France. A start up lab of sorts to experiment with all things perfumery. At the Art et Perfum. Then brought there creations back to England. I think that’s how the story goes. Again I don’t picture Berlin smelling like this at all. I think this has been my resilience to Gallivant. I need more help with the picture of the cities compared to the scents. I bought these with my first big order ever. I really wanted to pick up cement and all the grungy notes in this I just couldn’t pull an accord out of it. The good news is that the notes were pretty straight forward if you like them and blended well. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes Bright grapefruit distinguished right away I can smell the orange behind it in the form of clementine. And then right away lemon comes in. Straight up lemon like the lemon juice in the fridge. A very unique pepper provides the aromatic not sceshyuan, like pink pepper and heavy black mixed in. Never been able to pick up separate peppers before on top of tea. Straight up lipton tea that I grew up with. Lemon grass note transitions the fragrance with patchouli. A nice cedar deck vibe is there also coming into the drydown and it turns grassy in the form of vetiver. A little bit fresh and soapy in the dry down.

  1. Speaking about decants, they sell 30ml sizes and that can be considered a decant for some. Smart move. Berlin smells more like lemon and tea to me with some industrial dirt underneath, maybe afternoon tea in the English countryside with a factory in a far distance. But really, this brief could apply to alot of countries LOL

    1. I think we need some french terms for sized. ED single (.03 1ML), ED tiny(1-3ML), ED small (3-9ML), ED travel (9-29ML), ED personal(30-50ml), ED collection (50-70ML), ED Signature (70-125ML), ED I probably spray to much(125 – 300ML), ED I AM RICH AND will buy anything perfume (300 – to whatever ML) Obviously having fun, but for some of the smaller sizes would be useful and probably help pricing structures. A lot of companies are trying to sneak in exhorbant amounts of profit in smaller ML's. (Talking to you Masque Milano and what you recently did) That's why I try and point out price to ML frequently. More than you were suggesting, but one of the hot topics I am going against on the channel.

  2. My SOTD IS indeed Gallivant's Berlin. Love your review. Amsterdam is my favorite from this house, but I do like to wear Berlin in the summer.
