This is a fragrance don’t let attar scare you. This is just an excellent example of original fragrance. This is not a leather you have ever smelled in a mall or designer boutique. I take that back if you have gone into their highest class leather bags, jackets, or accessories and taken a deep breath through your nose of the goods you are getting an idea of what you are in for. This is super high class fragrance done with natural oils. “This is leather on your Skin.” When you hear people talk about getting used to it. The big difference I see in Eastern and Western fragrance is pure oils. Using pure oils means you are getting raw ingredients that are from the earth taking in all that is the earth. When you need to have fragrances last a long time your bases are a lot more limited than tops and hearts. These bases are what you need to warm up to. That’s why people talk about certain oil as starting points to get you used to the materials softly like a Oud Yusuf. Now this attar I would say is advanced, the first whiff has a really great bite that gives off booze, leather, rose, all kinds of woods, metallic, florals, aquatics all at once. It is a powerhouse that is just Awesome. Whiff whiff whiff me away. As I sit here going from fire to fire I pick up the phone and right before entering a new burning situation this Attar hits me and brings me to peace. Yes that is my promise peace. The fires are raging but in the middle of it all I am reminded of my promise of peace that I hold onto dearly. This fragrance takes me there instantly. It’s all natural notes of Rose and somehow this leather accord remind me that it’s another day and I will get through. I could wear this everyday and be happy. The leather is a star best leather fragrance I own. I have many. I have the natural leather smelling ingredients, I have leather accords, I have ouds that smell like leather which are awesome. House of Matriarchs Black NO 1. This is takes the prize, the bar is set. Can it be beat. A challenge to all perfumers.

Sotd was Ambre Loup by Rania J. I was also blown away by SLA, which I liked quite a bit better than EO1.

Got a sample of this and my god I’m ????.Might be the best thing I’ve ever smelled.
Yeah this stuff really helps explain why I am the way I am with fragrances. This stuff just smells so real there's no going back. I smelled Timbuktu the community favorite after this and this leather ruined the leather in that for me. There just nothing like this. If you read Kafka at all this is one of the best reviews she has ever done, and that's saying a lot as she's one of the best writers and noses in the community.
Is this your favorite among all Ensar Oud oil?
LOL, I wish I could try them all. I haven't. So far among the attars I have tried yes, but you said oil. Brother the ouds that are in the Ensar locker I don't even dare rate. I do a sensory chart. Oud is my favorite oil and some of his are among my favorites I have. I would never put this against pure oud, hope that helps a bit.

Depends what mood I am in on which I prefer. If I could only buy one I would start with the Attar. You will get the leather note in both compositions.
