How? I Apply the Fragrance

The holiday season has arrived, and it is decked out. Some fig, some chocolate, some graham cracker, vanilla, rice puff, all finished with a honey glaze. The gourmand notes round out his base DNA, that could contain musk and oud (they are not listed, but it smells like it). The first gourmand I can’t wait to wear for a holiday dinner. Usually gourmands don’t have a place on this channel, but this one is different. The figgy pudding Christmas song comes to mind. Drizzled in pistachio and cardamom gelato. Crispy chocolate topping with Winnie the Pooh dripping honey all over this. A crisped vanilla rice cone completes the transition to an exquisite gourmand that will elevate your holiday parties.

It even has an aromatic note that gives off the smell of a wreath to top this thing off. Like all Elixirs, this is blended exceptionally well. Ahmed excels at his craft, and everything I smell you can no doubt know ingredients are in the best hands. His many years of expertise come through on every composition. Just like a pastry chef or a mixologist would do, he makes a magic potion on your skin with his mixing. The pistachio is the perfect nut bridging chocolate, honey, fig, and vanilla. It really comes together like the perfect holiday recipe. This hits every smell bud perfectly.

Overall, this is not just for chocolate lovers but also gourmand lovers. This is an extravagant, bold, and a perfect dessert perfume, easily converting me over to the sweet side. I have already worn this seven times. This will be used for holiday parties, and I’m actually excited to wear it.

  1. Yeah I've heard the most about this one for sure. Its one of the 4 I plan on sampling. I had planned on going bonkers buying perfumes this weekend but 2020 got in the way unfortunately ????

    1. Yup! It's going to have to be quite the sale to get me to buy. I actually just paid up for a very special batch that I ordered back in September. The timing sucks and I still won't see it until the end of the year. But have a feeling it will be worth it.

  2. Awesome note listing. Superb review Brandon. Nice contrast with the espresso and sharp greens. I'm picturing in my mind a 30-ish gentleman with a thin moustache, dressed in a beige tweed suit, bowtie and bowler hat, sitting on a spindly chair in the middle of a dense pacific northwest forest sipping espresso in a tiny cup. ???? Doesn't have a smile, but instead, a look of sudden dawning comprehension, as if he's just worked something out in the surrounding gloom. The "heart of darkness" suggests that in reality, he's a corporate supervillian from the 30s. ???? Curtain.

    1. Brady it all depends on which ones. some I will only wear one spray to the neck. Others when I choose to wear I go crazy just to be basked in it. Most common is three sprays. One each wrist and one to the neck chest area.

  3. Amazing idea of pairing reviews with Black Friday sales. Heart of darkness from Providence is my favorite from this brand. I own a full bottle and contemplating a back-up.
As I had mentioned in my post when you sampled the entire line; Heart of Darkness is a damp, rich forest bed made of lush and resinous greens and delicious dark chocolate, drizzled with masterly roasted coffee bean oil. Happy Thanksgiving

  4. Hi B oh nice I heard the note cedar moss mentioned, boom that’s a magical scent.its my go to note it’s little used in most offerings but it’s the one found in Francesca Bianchi dna plus Pheromone for man by La Via del Profumo to my my nose and thanks to Abdullah who sent me a sample of his attar Cedarmoss I finally could put a name on my obsessional smell oh course a bottle is winging its way from Abdullah as we speak.Always a pleasure my friend be safe be blessed Lynch out????????????????

    1. Nice info on Cedarmoss with FB. Did not actually know that. This has it quite strong might be up your alley. Very nice buy from La Via del Profumo don't think I can sample that one with the distributor in the states. Thinking I would of remembered it. Going to look right after this:)

    2. @Therapeutic Fragrance yeah B it’s got to be cedar Moss the common denominator got stuff from Abdullah today and cedar Moss was one of them so I really think it’s the common note.being sniffing a lot of stuff this week beginning to notice things now but I’m still a newbie the journey continues new awakenings every step of the way. Be safe B.????????????????

  5. Hi B I do love a good gourmand fragrance especially with spice and fruit notes I must admit I love to sniff the various cooking spices great vid take care of the vocals bud the don’t seem 100 percent back yet enjoy the holidays be safe ????????????????

    1. @Therapeutic Fragrance had to take week off work apparently I have exceeded my legal working hours it’s a damn Europe union working act rule Jesus I work in healthcare and in the worlds most catastrophic time some damn rule sidelines fit able bodies from helping so many in need crazy plus I went a bit crazy on fragrance buying over the week I really got to stop cause I have such a large collection now I can’t see the individual trees for the forest need to enjoy what I got and take stock if that makes sense going back to work tomorrow not on the clock my choice folks need me my co workers are over run stay safe B, Lynch out ????

  6. I actually managed to snag one of these! I am a fan of gourmands, so this one is particularly excellent for me. Holy cow, it's lovely. For me, it oscillates from fruits and nuts to richer notes like chocolate and vanilla, then back again for hours on end. I also get some earthiness and woodiness coming through here and there, but nothing actually "dirty" at any point. I'm thrilled with it. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    1. Nice pickup. They were sold out before I even got mine, but he has been remaking so I wanted the review to live. Nice review, The earthiness rounds it perfect for me. I'm thinking it's mastice resin doing all of that. Not really familiar with the material myself.

  7. Another house thats been on my radar since joining instagram. Its too much for me to keep up with haha. Not usually a fan of gourmands too much but maybe I haven't tried the right one yet. I wore Agar Parisien Thanksgiving day 🙂

    1. Nice pick for Thanksgiving. For me that would of been lost on those I was around unfortunately. Weird having to pick fragrance for who I am going to be around, but my family still has to warm up to smells that aren't all synthetic.

    2. @Therapeutic Fragrance It was just me and my Dad this year unfortunately with the way things are going. A couple family members got covid last week so we all stayed separate this year. Thats why I decided on an oud fragrance and agar Parisien has been on my mind lately

    1. Pretty sure it made it to the website for a blink of an eye. Sometimes you can only get so much of one or two materials. I really am focusing on the people not cutting corners around these. Easy with the success to give into quick cash as I have caught people doing. Have not seen it here, quality is exceptional.
