Fragrance Quick Story I really want to get my nose on Burvuru. This was generously scent to me by Amy who’s instagram posts I can’t wait for. She is really well written and thought out. I eat up everything she says about fragrances. Thanks Amy for the chance to review this and have another shot at January Scent Project. I love this house. Creativity, excellent writing, overall super positive attitude in the community and is doing exactly what we all should be. Pushing perfumery forward. This is my second composition with the house and he definitely is a creative mad man over their on the east coast. Unique ingredients, very well blended. Did I mention the price and this is after he has raised prices. I did, but will a again under 1.50 an ML under. These composition’s fit in to everyone’s $3 mark, for this major props to John. Mixed media I know maybe this is the answer. But clear thoughts no notes just enjoying perfume, this is quite an enjoyable and mood changing opening. Very well blended no messing around here. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes Overall I am a fan of not being able to clearly define a listed note it signifies significant care in blending and the perfumer being aware of the composition. I call this the basking in the sillage and enjoying your perfume nothing sticks out it just exemplifies a fantastic aroma and does what I want my perfume to do. Enjoy it and enhance my area. Yes going deep into the perfume I can look at notes notes and then start to undress the magic the perfumer gave me and gain deeper insights into his thoughts. John has a beautiful well chosen back here and you can see there was concentration on how to use his synthetics so they won’t take over. This is a clean dreamy forest where for the first time on this channel the fresh really helps this fragrance become more special. These green scents are some of my favorite and this heart as a whole is the best upgrade I have ever smelled to an irish spring. I mean that as a huge compliment. One of those grand openings under promise over delivered. Citrus, just the right fresh of opening and hint of dirty. Very perfect for the spring morning I am entering. The aromatic used here is a pink pepper on top of a lavender underlying green leaves that all plays to the opening carries by something that’s making it fresh and a bit soapy. No citrus mentioned, but my nose wants to believe there is something there. Is this a Chypre John? IS IT. CMON IS IT. We have a unique take on what I would classify as Chypre. Unique and modern. The heart turns into a fresh clean scent while still be surrounded by fresh greens and carried by some lovely mosses. The champaca and ivy provide a unique middle and never stand out to my nose just soft sweet and sustain a nice floral on top of the aforementioned mosses. He has studied notes very well as the elemi only adds to this modern take providing a pine aromatic that is sweet and slightly resinous against the moss. Actually this is bright and invigorating because of these notes. Staying away from resins has just made this a get me up and out into the woods kind of fragrance.

  1. Such a unique fougere! My favorite of the house is Vaporocindro then Selperniku, but rose lovers should check out Smolderose. Gotta support houses with this level of creativity, especially when the creator is such a nice guy.

    1. Vaporocindro I have shyed away from isn't that the bakery one or is it Selperniku. Don't know how that would go, but I got surprised with caramel notes before. Burvuvu was the one I wanted to try the most. I still can't believe he is keeping his prices in check also. As a lot of stuff from UK has jumped to the 3 per ML.

  2. I haven't found something i want full bottle yet from this house but I think he has a solid and unique POV. I must respect perfumers who try to create something new and add to the fragrance conversation.
