Decadently dark, Black Osmanthus smells like dried apricot and velvet flowers draped in a cloak of black leather. Beautiful use of a botanical "leather" accord. An exquisite, gothic masterpiece.

Fragrance Quick Story
It’s funny how perfumes really have you fall for notes. Like a huge a ha. Yes I know what osmanthus smells like. But when a fragrance puts the ingredient into the name and executes it in the composition the a ha moment is, yeah the light bulb going on. This is why this is an ingredient, this is why it is in a perfumers tool box, and this is how it can be used.Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes
What grey labdanum did for labdanum, black osmanthus is doing for osmanthus. The osmanthus provides an ozone quality that is dry a touch dusty, and retro. It provides a beautiful picture in the mind of the good old days whatever those are to you. Florals I get the jasmine tuberose is hidden on the top. The leather is awesome need to know how she pulled this authentic accord off. It is a brilliant accord and one I am having a pleasure smelling only enhancing the star ingredient. This is dark retro and pleasing. Heart softens the osmanthus note to what I am a lot more familiar with. Leather becomes more prominent with a patchouli rising. This is a soft herbal patchouli that provides good balance with the osmanthus. Saffron provides a great air quality as oakmoss lays down the foundation for the drydown we are headed into. Myrrh is sweetening the wearing with just an edge of incense. The west Indian rum is spicy with the myrrh. And bartender need to start adding saffron to drinks I mean I use the aromatic in my cooking, but just shines against this dark fragrance. Gets even sweeter on dry down all three phases hit. You are left with a vanillaick dry out as the fragrance ends.Perfumer's Notes:

I do have some pretty interesting lists coming up B-Style. My four fragrances for life will give you a good idea the area my top five would be in. For me it also has a lot to do with mood or environment on what fragrance works for me. They really do enhance my days, that's why I am always presenting scenarios. The four for life gives you a good idea of how my brain works, LOL. Thanks for the great comment.
