#1 HOUSE STUDY:

I haven’t done this yet i thought I would take everyone through an A-Z on how I have been fast pacing my way through learning compositions.  Focusing on house accords in particular. And finding I actually love most ingredients and solved exactly what I hated and ran from in notes such as Rose, Iris, and Patchouli.

I think there is a big disconnect on why people think they hate notes vs. skin chemistry reaction to a lot of synthetics in perfume.  I think it is why a lot of fragrances are completely loved by some and polarizing to others.

Say all this to say to date these are the best synthetic takes  on bases I have smelled. They rise far above most everything I have gone through this far.  They use as many naturals as possible, but make vegan perfumes. Instead of being lazy and buying the same old shelved synthetics that we smell in everything mass produced they came up with alternative accords that are quite brilliant.  Of course I still prefer natural musk and authentic ambergris, but my goodness they are doing good work. In my opinion there civet and ambergris notes are the best I have put my nose to that aren’t real.

Two brothers taking perfumery to the next level.Eugene Au and Emrys Au @auphorie I salute you to your work in the perfume world and it’s a pleasure to own your art.

Stay tuned for #2 my favorite part of reviewing blind smelling and note taking. . . .
