MY FRAGRANCE JOURNEY †††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† 500 Oh how did I get here!!! First off thankyou to everyone for adding me to your feed. Starting this year I did not expect to grow this fast and am thankful to be part of such a great community. I decided early on that I was going to put myself out there with this account and really talk about what the magic of fragrance brings to my life. And like never before in picture and word. I’ve always had the pictures in my belt of tools. I guess the words too, but somehow they stayed hidden. So for putting up with me and a lot of you being just as nerdy as me about this stuff in a bottle it has been a pleasure.
My journey thus far:
Never knew I would know oud was anything besides and instrument. It has flat out taking over the number one spot in my must have ingredients. I can’t get enough of it and nothing comes close. I can now distinguish a lot of countries and starting to pick out different strains in a country.
I love raw ingredients just as much as compositions. I went through a composition study of over 500 perfumes and wrote out detailed notes and thoughts of my own and compared my thoughts against listed notes. 200 of which are now on video yes I’m crazy, this was unexpected. It just became the best way for me to comprehend and learn compositions.
I still love all my bottles before this, but definitely can see behind the curtain. I admire certain people and their work a lot more especially those who distill their own materials. Most floral notes are a weakness. While I have sharpened my nose for woods, resins, spices, aromatics, and a ton of other goodness, I still have to take the dive into floral differences. Currently falling in love with Iris and all it’s goodness.
I don’t like share time, but trying to be more open so here it is for you. Same for selfies. Until 1,000 maybe????
