A dirty vanilla essence with an opening of sweet fennel and pink pepper. a distinct pipe tobacco note, smoke and leather, a touch of jasmine, almonds and of course vanilla in the form of vanilla absolute, organic vanilla bean tincture and vanilla oleoresin. additional notes include: cepes absolute, rectified birch, coffee absolute, sandalwood, amyris, heliotrope, benzoin and honey absolute. EXTRAIT DE PARFUM Review Notes: While all these comfort notes are brewing a warm radiant glow of vanilla fills the surrounding space. When smelling the skin up close you discover rich tobacco and leather notes which take over the vanilla. from Basenotes Fragrance Quick Story This is a dream fragrance for my coffee and cigar days. I would usually get a vanilla espresso with a local honey elixir with some oregon coast salt in it. And a nice blonde cigar. This would be the fragrance after those days. Many of them have been had. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes One of the boldest openings I have come across. Get ready for a blast of fennel. It’s not like the fennel from my backyard I talk about frequently the heavy licorice scent is drunk and condensed against a natural vanilla that is going to step things up unless you are very familiar with different vanillas. There is a strong pink pepper aromatic that is needed for how condensed this opening is. I love it but it is in your face as it gets. Once the sweetness fades to skin you start to get the dirtier notes of tobacco and smoke and with the strong dark vanilla it comes across as rich pipe tobacco and how the smoke plays the aromatic I have no idea, but it does. Everything else is a base note the only chance the smoke has to show itself is on top. An earthy love pops up from below adding a much needed dirty and earthy aspect to the wear. After thirty minutes and then another two and a half hours the whole concoction comes off as a menthol lacquer resin note that I find I was drawn too. Overall this is a lesson on Vanilla we know one aspect of vanilla and this adds vanilla resins, well chosen vanilla and show and tells heart and base notes of the ingredient Vanilla in perfume. I have never seen it done to this level and kudos to this fragrance for that. Fennel was the surprise other than that everything else was sort of expected to compliment this composition. Take that back the cepes was a brilliant addition that a Tobacco Vanille fragrance could only dream of adding so much depth.
