I don’t think the list of notes does this perfume justice. Spiced fruits and resins are apparent from the bottle, but on skin, this thing does wonders. There is cinnamon in here. My nose has a problem with this kind of cinnamon; you hear me call it out in many reviews. It’s something that is so loud, it’s crazy. Most people don’t have this reaction, but cinnamon is a tricky note for me. On the top, potpourri-like spices come through. I just had a batch of cider over the stove, and the same essence of that is in here.
As the perfume wears on, it sweetens up with a dollop of honey. The whole story is actually the bed that this perfume rests on. Led by the note labdanum, a resinous dry air comes forth. It has the impression of rubber and cleaned dashboards. Slightly earthy and creamy woods settle in as well. The spiced top never leaves for me and is in the top of my scent bubble the entire time. There is a lot of intrigue here, with multiple faceted transitions in the sillage. Overall, this is an original take on a spiced gourmand with luxurious style.
