Finally some oud! Some funkadelic punch-in-the-face oud. Bam, we are in business. This is what I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for. I’ve been sampling and sampling and burning through all of my LuckyScent samples for something like this. I know Feel Oud. I know the locker of oud that Dmitry has access to.
The facets of oud presented in this will have you goin’ everywhere. Fruity, blissful, animalic, medicinal, woody, vegetal, wet, pungent sides of oud. Rose is just a stem in this. Don’t you dare call this a simple rose and oud; you are missing the point. This is oud, oud, rose, and oud. Magnolia, which he likes to use, is just a quick invite but by the time you come in, it’s too late; you are dosed with so many nuances of oud you can’t break it down. It covers the spectrum. It doesn’t hit on the super fecal nor the super innocent, but everywhere else between the pendulum. It has you oud lovers covered with a nice floral that plays well around other people. Benzoin is the perfect light touch of honeyed sweetness, and the hyraceum is just a great leathered pissy accent, if you know what I mean. Tonka is perfect. This is a winner winner.
All that oud settles down into a beautiful floral in the heart.
The drydown continues to the Bortniscense. The oud lasts through the drydown, which makes me think of synthetic oud, but that would be against everything he believes in. I only say it because one profile lasted from the top to the end, and usually only synthetics can provide that.
