How? I Apply the Fragrance

1-3 sprays

Absinthe-Minded opens with a strong absinthe note, green and camphorous, almost medicinal. Eucalyptus comes to mind, which isn't a surprise for an Australian perfumer, right, but there is no eucalyptus mentioned in the notes. More sprays highlight the anise/fennel/black licorice note. It is a unique smell, aromatic and mentholated, but it is addictive from the get-go. Rose is noticeable, and there are other distinct note impressions, but the blend is great, and there is a light/dark psuh/pull that gives this scent a lot of movement. The dry-down is woody and warm, grounded. It is interesting, good work, but a little too medicinal for my tastes. I am really interested in trying out the rest of his line.

  1. Now that's hilarious. Very familiar with his work. My favorite by him is confessions of a garden gnome so far. And heard of his secondary house launching in the US!!!

    1. @Therapeutic Fragrance, you were correct it's actually note from Manle after looking again… its Rasei Fort…. lol. But still great compositions!! Ps we still need to collab bro!! ;P

  2. Oohh brother. You keep putting interesting, never heard of brands like it was rice. Need to snatch me a CEO role to keep up with the wish list.
I sometimes asked myself about the Fort & Manle name. We were familiar with Rasei Fort releasing fragrances.
You have answered the question for many of us. Definetely have to sample Absinthe Minded and The Winds Of Santa Ana. Jezebel is one my fiancé would sample, too.
    This is never ending, brother.
    ????????????
    Greerings from Puerto Rico. ????????
    Stay safe.
    ????

    1. Yes you are getting good at reading me????. Stoked to always get perfumers on Lucky Scent makes it so much easier to sample. Yes we need to move into those roles with the huge quarterly bounuses????????????. Would make sure to sample a moment in time as well.

    2. @Therapeutic Fragrance Definetely a office with a bath. So many perfumes, you habe to wash off to make time and space to sample as much on one lifetime.
      ????????????
Of course will keep tuning in and informing of what I discover.
Hope to get La Whatever this week.
      Thanks for sharing the news.
Haxän is the next limited on schedule.
Or I believe I readed somewhere that it was going to be part of Mr Lomros regular lineup. Speaking of Prim, the new Bat, Sloth, and Koala are on the sampling line.

  3. I read his description for the Santa Ana winds perfume, and I’m really intrigued bc it’s true we do talk about it in a foreboding way; it brings oppressive heat, allergies, and fire danger. Does it smell salty to you? But the absinthe one sounds great, too.

    1. I really don't get any salt one of the main reasons I lean to a synthetic Ambergris. That is one of the first scents that are unmistakable facet of the real deal. Still need to wear it on it's own. I do think you would enjoy Absinthe. A distant cousin of Russian caravan with that menthol thing going on.

  4. I love fort and manle. These just came available at luckyscent. A moment in manhattan sound very interesting with the note breakdown. Every smelled this on. It says blueberries, strawberries, pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, fluffy croissants and creamy coffee.
