Fragrance Quick Story This opens in a bird cage literally. You smell the surrounding of well a Zoo a bit. A dirty hydrosol hits your nose before freshening up and letting you know that you are still where you are. These are fragrances I sincerely have to take off my natural synthetic hat off and let them play out so I can actually enjoy them. If i stay concentrating on use of naturals it totally ruins the wearing. So I have a couple samples of this one and have been wearing it heavy to do just that. Have fun and experience what the perfumer has for me. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes My ctirus musk is straight out of the gate on first whiff. This has such a fruity tale it’s amazing. That means to me when you take a deep sniff the strong citrus musk hits my nose but as I breathe through the rest of the sniff has a very fruity air to it. Like sweet and candy like. Then a line of coconut comes through. As you keep sniffing it litterally gives you bit more on each sniff. If there was an evolving for Vanilla this is it. What he has done with Vanilla is enhance it. This is a bright tropical vanilla not like something you have had before. The ylang ylang done here is unique and stands on its own. Nothing can be compared to something I have smelled before. Transition is more of the same you can just smell different notes every whiff. If I go and sniff for patchouli I pick it up, but miss woods. I can pick up a great sandalwood note focus to much and miss out on flowers, There is the Jasmine, but where is the aromatics, There is some saffron, where is the clove and clove is strong there it is, how is this not oriental oh that’s why a milky coconut. Opopanax is present in most of the fume and a fresh scent in the back ground develops. Dry down form into a very interesting animalic jungle musk which I am surprised by with the vanilla that’s in there. No guaiac wood is mentioned but the scent comes off like that. The sillage is legit. This is why masters are masters. Smelling so many compositions it is so easy to smell the difference of masters touching the composition. They think about the fragrance from people smelling you, your scent bubble and in a lot of cases the sillage is far different than smelling up close. Summary is a jungle tropical vibe to it.

    1. Amy, exactly the same thing happened to me. A strong synthetic note (to my nose) in the mid and base stopped me from liking it and made me a bit queasy. It was all I could smell. In fact the sleeve of my t-shirt still smells of it a week later.

  1. I thought this one was one of their best, but ultimately not for me. I got creamy floral coconut, with salty musk—nice journey. But if you really want “musty bird cage”, check out Dodo. I grew up around aviaries, so that one turns my stomach it nails it so perfectly. Kudos is deserved for perfectly replicating that scent—it’s just something I never seek to smell, let alone wear.

  2. Good view on this I just got this one & squid off luckyscent & will be hard to pick only one..Aquire a sample of Hyrax..Id read you could smell actual realistic shit in it..AND YOU DO!! AND STILL I HAD TO SPRING FOR A FULL BOTTLE OF IT!! Go figure lol
