Notes: Espresso, iris, vanilla bean, tonka bean, patchouli, benzoin, sandalwood, musk Say hello to your new morning ritual--an enlivening spritz of bitter espresso topped with a dollop of decadent vanilla froth. The juxtaposition with the soft, gentle scent of iris creates a full-bodied, complex fragrance that is intense and gourmand yet also hauntingly graceful. This is one to savor down to the last drop. Mixed media Fragrance Quick Story You can’t go to any city and walk a few blocks in there downtown without smelling this scent. One of the most familiar scents that is dark and bitter to everyone. Espresso not that boring black sometimes burnt on those no good machines that have heaters in your home that need to absolutely be done away with. They only ruin coffee never enhance I would rather dring cold and you would maintain a lot of the taste with out it. But this is not that coffee. We have a coffee fragrance and these guys came to play. Not your regular coffee note you can tell this is espresso totally different nuances and glory to this in it’s own right. I might need to add orriss butter to my next best of the best hand crafted capucino from here in the northwest. These guys just do powder right. Genius composition and notes chosen against a familiar smell of espresso to everyone. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes Powder and espresso it’s about time I have smelled this combo. You get espresso backed by powder. I am finding that this orris powder just does wonder to strong dark notes. Here with vanilla I am getting an espresso I want to drink. I have gone to the barista championships and they have to make a creative drink as part of the competition. I try to get the baristas to sell these at a premium price to me, one has started offering on rotating menu. Yes I follow baristas the art of the shot, is a important as my perfume. All that to say I could see them making a drink based off of this. This base smells like a familiar dessert a tiramisu without the booze. This is layered just like the desert with the sandalwood lofting in a layer itself. The rest of the mystique must be from benzoin, musk, and patchouli's as none come out on their own. The fragrance provides a fume that varies on distance to application without any major changes throughout wearing. A lovely powder of soft espresso is left on the skin for a good ninety minutes as this one waves farewell. It is perfect to it’s name so go out and get a macchiato while having this on. I love pairing my espresso.

  1. Those blue eyes with the blue shirt and back drop!!!!! Your glowing with those eyes!!!! Want to try both!!! My pocket is saying No!!!!! Great review!

    1. I have two more samples coming this week from some very generous people. (they are vaulted) For different moods and different situations it varies. Their Musc Oud Maharaja would edge everything out.

    1. Definitely not the cleanest drydown for a fragrance with Iris in the name. It is mostly patchouli the sharp version with I would say a white musk, and in my opinion a bequtiful sandalwood that airs on the side of it's sronger characteristics. If you do like the more earthy patchouli I think you would really like dry down if not this might be a bit much. The dry down definitely leans it back to a masculine side. I would not call it rank at all the drydown matches the notes very well to my nose and on my skin. Hope this helps.
