You put this one and can tell right away the genius. There is a lot of thought that went into the composition of this fragrance. The perfumer is giving us lessons here. Lessons on simplicity and complexity. The simplistic part is taking one ingredient and extracting every ounce of scent nuance it has to offer. How an herbal can be a base ingredient, heart ingredient, and top layer. The lavender aromatics you know and love will come out in the sillage. Clean heart notes of lavender will show up and straight up animalic notes of an herb are present. One of the strongest menthol notes in peppermint is used as a heart layer as a supporting cast. Everytime I have smelled peppermint used it myself it always has come out as a top note.

The other floral notes provide backbone to the floral animalic qualities of the fragrance. None really show up on their own including the rose.

The Siam benzoin, rosewood, sandalwood, Himalayan cedarwood, labdanum, ambergris, musk, castoreum, civet, amber are a base accord that comes together also. Everything about this fragrance is together and about completeness.

Citrus’ slightly show up. My favorite perfumes are when everything harmonizes as a note together and gives off a fragrance that is it’s own scent, it’s own mark on the world and this is what we have here.
