I want to personally thank every perfumer that goes through the process of creation. I can’t imagine the day I have to put something out in the world and not have my say, but have to listen. You all show vulnerability in a beautiful way.

My skill set has been sharpened in ways I would of never imagined by all the perfumers who’s work I had a chance to smell. I do not take it for granted all the things I have learned by wearing and thinking through everything all of you have poured your life into.

Being able to watch all the reactions with my co heart in crime in the background all virtually was something special. From the huge virtual dance to the hidden presentation of a lifetime. The whole thing had epic music transitions that made this something special in the face of 2020.

The decision to keep going through the face of adversity was noticed. Seriously I don’t say it lightly, my hats off to what went down on that live stream and the decision to move forward with the awards.

The authenticity of the event was for the ages. It won’t be re created ever and came across as a magical part of the AOAward history now.

I didn’t get the chance to smell everything and don’t own everything. Pictured are my picks for this and the previous year.
