MMMMMMMMMMM I love it when fragrances actually open with something special. It’s why I do my hardest to not ever know anything about these. I buy so many at a time by the time I try them 90% I have forgotten what they are, of course some mainstays I just can’t help but know a ton of info. But when I can’t instantly categorize it and it makes my brain work to make sense (see what I did there) of the fragrance I love it. I have to wait let these mysteries unfold and then I can usually pick out a couple of notes and form my own original thoughts. Laughing now I know why I chose this fragrance leather, oud, yummy resins. Yeah makes sense this is the first I try from the house. As soon as it settles down it gets really familiar. Fragrance Scoring System Bam we are wearing some perfume. Vibrant punchy resinous love. I am going out and guessing fresh gunpowder? Turn out to be birch and castoreum settling into skin to let this fragrance cloud above me. I can smell the beeswax forming a glue to all the dark notes this is a raw ingredient I own a ton of and it adds subtle nuances to notes that just enhance the existing notes. Kind of like sauteing ingredients. Dirty sweet throughout the top and transitions the same into the heart. I really can’t make a call if there is real oud I would say no. It smells like all the accords I have now smelled at least over ten times together in other houses on top of secret house accords. This starts to become very familiar just glad there is no rose in this. It was launched in 2015 so I don’t think they would of been first to a western market with this, but this area is seriously dripping with competition over these mixtures you can only own so many. The heart to dry down actually blends into skin really nicely and is something I have no problem wearing all the time off my skin. It is very incensey and sweet. Turning even more into the angelica and honey notes leaving behind a majority of animalics, but keeping a ton of spices and woods.
