How? I Apply the Fragrance

1 - 9 Sprays

This is the opening that only the likes of Carson, Leno, and Letterman could bring. I’ve stated many times last year that yuzu is my favorite citrus to stand on its own in the opening. It’s not too showy but polished and refined and telling of what’s to come. This is one of the most glorious openings I have experienced. Rose blooms into the transition with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, like a walk around D.C. in April. This is an example of a collaboration being done exactly right.   This perfume is an exquisite take, proving that there is much more to be explored in the olfactive world. The opening is a sublime air that is softly touched on so many levels. Yuzu carries the braided florals of jasmine, geranium, and rose. Minty and herbal vibes are  aromatic up against the agarwood. It truly is a new composition that I would pick for an award. It has been quite the year. I didn’t expect all this creativity, but here it is, and I am celebrating it. Perfume is alive and well in the hands of the olfaction guard.

  1. Man, I really like your taste in Fragrances. Awesome reviews. Do you by any chance have a perfume that you have created? I would love to try that one out. Keep up the fantastic work.

    1. Hey Daniel thanks for asking I am documenting my progress. I have boughten some nice material that is getting set in tinctures and macerations. After this mad rush of releases this will be a big focus on the channel.

  2. I saw squid won something today idk if its the same award. I neeed to try this house. Oswald is a big fan as well, he says they blow his mind with simplicity but still being so interesting. I like their reasoning behind their lotus logo.

Where do you suggest I start with Di Ser?

    1. Fortunately most except Keman are kept in stock. Sample from Lucky Scent they are very personal scents and so different from other stuff. They need transferred to atomizers which are cheap on Amazon to really get to know them, but easy to sample on them, would highly suggest that.

  3. Hey Brandon , I need some advice, with all of those new releases what would be the best way to spend my money? Already ordered decants of agar de noir and ghaliyha reflection, is Kashmir nuit similar to emperor hind?( a lot of the notes are similar and I own emperor hind) are the new agar aura releases really worth it?

    1. Haven't smelled the D and Z's stay tuned. My reviews of Agar Aura can't be more authentic described what you are getting if your into oud I said what I said. I'm working so hard to get these reviewed as best I can. Don't forget about Elixir's stuff. I think first batches are all almost out. Ghaliyat review is coming it's legit as well.

  4. 2021 wont be released until 2021 but I will be releasing rasa smoke this fall and 2021 Rasa will be more similar to 2019 but with additional longevity and the oud bomb will go into the Rasa smoke which I’m making with my aged redwood extractions. Thank you so much for this review!

    1. @Pomare5 Thanks for the advice, that was super helpful! Looks like I'll have to go foraging for redwood sap =). Given the fires and how little the trees produce oils, it might take a while.

  5. And here Brandon keeps pouring gasoline onto the burning wreck that is my bank account. All kidding aside, keep the great content coming brother, I just placed an order and can't wait to check it out!

    1. LOL Ryan. I am afraid we are going to look back on this year as the greatest releases from Indie houses ever. As demand grown there is almost no way to keep the quality of materials. Materials will eventually be sacrificed for volume. It's an unfortunate truth.

  6. Great review! I agree, it does seem fittingly to close your bottle coverage with this… The purity of what this is, the positivity and realness of your review… Living perfume, no cheating… Thank you for saving the best for last.

  7. I tried a sample of this! I love my indie people but unfortunately it was a major let down. I must have gotten the batch with less passion fruit because I got none. I'm from the Caribbean and very familiar with and love passion fruit but none to be found. The oud was legit but the perfume overall lacks character.. maybe those isolates would have helped ???? would have loved to try the 2019!

    1. Just because I have both I can tell what the passion fruit is doing in the 2020 yes not the same. I don't know if you wear oud or not, but 2020 is like wearing an oud. 2019 undoubtedly you would be able to smell that Caribbean love. What part of the Caribbean I've only been to Trinidad and Tobago. BTW she says 2021 will guarantee to have the passion fruit top back and I'm sure I see a sample being sent your way:)

  8. I would blind buy your fragrance knowing your taste.

You should try Akanesasu from Di Ser; an amazing Jasmine Vetiver combination for relatively low price.
Longevity not great but you get few hours of Japanese natural magic

  9. LOL Di Ser is on the list pocket book is kinda broke after September. Thanks for recommending the cheaper one. I think I have a sample of this one need to use it. It's so hard to sample this house from dabbers.
