Opening has a remembrance of teenage summers in the city for me. A familiar aroma that I was continuously around. This reminds me of someone's mom who would haul all of us around to the city to various activities. Familiar scents blow my mind, these are all deep memories that keep coming forth, this is therapy in itself. The sillage is no different again these are chemical compounds meant to evoke scent. Once it’s in the memory there is no going back. Like a database as soon as you smell the it’s like a search in the brain instantly reflecting time those molecule structures have been through your nose in the past. Me and a scientist could geek out for days over this. I will try and link it, but Luca Turin does exceptional talks on these subjects. This sits down really quick and is just a great closer to the skin fragrance. Feminine florals Drydown, this turns way feminine to me. Very rosy and smell like a night cream my grandma used to have. This is very powdery with rose. Not my fav you know how that is sample for yourself, especially if your drawn to powders this could be the touch of modern you need to upgrade your fragrance. What are fruit notes? LOL all that’s listed it is clearly what is making this different from others. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes For me wishing something bitter like orange would of stayed to the dry down allowing for a nice musk that I like from my perfumes. After a thirty or so opening for me, the base with iris and rose dominate this. Sandalwood is a favorite note for bases and it barely shows up on my skin for me. This could of been nice with ylang ylang which could of added that bright sharp floral, but powdery just takes over and dominates on my skin. Even with the amber this kind of powder is not a favorite. If you are into powders be sure and sample this for yourself.
